Akshatha is a cognitive neuroscientist with eight years of academic research experience. Her work has seen her collaborate with leading labs and universities in Europe, including Philips Laboratories in the Netherlands and the University of Magdeburg in Germany. A recipient of the prestigious Marie Curie Fellowship from the European Research Council, Akshatha obtained her PhD from the University of Florence, where she researched the neural plasticity of the visual cortex. Her post-doctoral work at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem centred on the human attention system.
